Our Story

Created to heal. Built to inspire. Worn with purpose.

Why Serenity Exists

Serenity began as a personal journey—a search for a safe space to heal, grow, and express myself. What started as me finding peace soon transformed into a vision to create a brand that embodies comfort, confidence, and culture all in one.

The brand’s story traces back to 2019, when I launched my first collection under the name Rxse Up Apparel at Lollapalooza in Chicago. My goal was simple: connect with people through the power of apparel. That first drop didn’t take off the way I imagined, but it planted a seed. It showed me that while my message was strong, I needed to find the right way to share it.

Over the years, I experimented with designs, refined the vision, and explored other ways to uplift the community—including building an app focused on helping the Black community take mental health seriously and begin healing from trauma. Through my own process of detaching from negativity, embracing growth, and leaning into peace, I discovered the true essence of what I wanted to give back: Serenity.

Today, Serenity is more than apparel or candles—it’s a lifestyle rooted in healing, self-expression, and community. Every piece is designed to remind you that showing up as your authentic self is part of the healing process. When you wear Serenity or bring it into your home, you’re not just buying a product—you’re carrying a piece of that story with you.

Meet Gabbie

I was born and raised in St. Louis, MO, and at 28 years old, I’m still learning, growing, and fighting to show up as my best self. My journey hasn’t been easy—battling mental health challenges and Borderline Personality Disorder has tested me in ways I never expected. But remembering where I was in 2017 and 2018 reminds me why I can’t give up. I have to remain strong, not just for myself, but for my family and for the people who might see a piece of their own story in mine.

Outside of Serenity, I spend time coding, streaming on TikTok, and gaming online—whether I’m racing around in GTA 5, laughing my way through Fall Guys, or reliving childhood adventures in Spyro. These are the little outlets that keep me grounded, creative, and connected to community.

I see myself less as an artist and more as an entrepreneur and community builder. My vision has always been bigger than me—I want to uplift other artists, give them space to shine, and build platforms that bring people together. That’s what Serenity is all about: creating safe spaces, whether through apparel, candles, or even one day a restaurant, where healing feels accessible and real.

My hope is that Serenity can be the beginning of someone’s healing journey—the hoodie they throw on for comfort when life feels heavy, or the place they visit when they need to escape and breathe. For me, this is more than a brand. It’s proof that even in the middle of the battle, you can still build something beautiful.
